Leading Mathematics: Enabling Sustainable Change – Work smarter, not harder! Using effective practice to support children to be efficient mathematicians.

Thursday 5 December, Thursday 6 February, Thursday 22 May Online

Are you looking to help your students make meaningful connections in maths for deeper understanding?

This pathway is designed to enhance your lesson planning by introducing ‘intelligent practice’ and providing practical, EEF-recommended teaching approaches you can immediately apply in the classroom. These strategies will help you guide students towards more efficient mathematical thinking and improve overall outcomes.

Led by a Primary Mastery Specialist, you’ll collaborate on classroom-based activities to refine your practice. Grounded in evidence and aligned with EEF recommendations, this professional development model supports lasting improvements in teaching and learning.

Who will be leading the group?

Michael Hares

Michael is an experienced Primary Maths Teaching for Mastery Specialist, Assistant Head Teacher and maths subject lead within his trust.
