Need help in getting the best from your current maths scheme?

This pathway will support you to identify, develop and embed effective Teaching for Mastery approaches alongside current teaching materials.

Led by a Primary Mastery Specialist, you will work collaboratively in classroom-based activities to refine and improve your teaching. Evidence-based, and in line with EEF recommendations, this model of Professional Development is designed to support substantial long-term change.

Who will be leading the group?

Rob Cox

Rob is a Maths Specialist Leader of Education  and an accredited NCETM Professional Development Lead. Having recently completed his training as a Primary Maths Teaching for Mastery Specialist, he also serves as the Maths Subject Lead at his school. In his role as an SLE, Rob has been actively supporting fellow educators in implementing and embedding the Teaching for Mastery approach, using this methodology as a foundation for enhancing the school's maths curriculum for many years.

Who is it for?

For Maths Subject Leaders and Teachers

What will it involve?

All pathways follow the same format of 3 half-day workshops, with school-based tasks.

To allow for the greatest impact from engagement with the pathways, leaders are encouraged to discuss school-based tasks with their staff following workshops and schedule time for their completion.

What is the cost?

DfE funded so free to all participating schools.
